Apart from Ryan Moore, last year’s champ, let us turn the focus towards the next top 4 contenders this year.
Seb Sanders has indeed proved his capabilities by being the joint winner of 2007 Jockeys Championship, and is currently trained by Sir Mark Prescott. Seb is ecpected to ride over 100 winners this year once again, though Prescott hasn’t been getting the best of horses, which has been one of the major concerns.
Next to Seb, Richard Hughes who is equally promising, and is also expected to ride over 100 winners in 2009, and end up with yet another successful season. He works as a freelance jockey and operates with several trainers including Richard Hannon, who happens to be his step father.
Backed by the marvellous trainer Aidan O\’Brien, Johnny Murtagh has a great opportunity this year, and he has already landed few brilliant rides in 2009.
Frederik Tylicki is in the last spot of top 4, but he’s a hot Jockey going places and definitely worth following.
With massive potential, no wonder he could become the next big thing in the Racing arena. Currently he works for Richard Fahey, and his performance has been fairly satisfactory this year.
